Western governments and societies all seem to have a difficult time in grasping the true nature of the Islamic agenda. They understand that Islam, which means “submission,” is a major “religion” practiced around the world by more than a billion people. So most non-Muslim countries make the common mistake of assuming that it is just another monotheistic religion that, like Christianity and Judaism, has been around for more than a thousand years and therefore must be extended the same tolerance and respect, especially among the more “tolerant” western societies. It is notable that this “tolerance” grows exponentially with the distance from a majority Muslim state.
However, it is notable that even countries close to those majority Muslim countries such as India and Israel, have a great deal of difficulty dealing with the violent expansionist Islamic teachings. This is primarily due to three reasons. First, human nature is to try to avoid confrontation. Secondly, it is very difficult to deal with a major religion in a forthright manner, without appearing to be prejudiced against a religion which is not the mainstream within the society trying to do so. Thirdly, people simply don’t make the effort to educate themselves as to what that “major” religion actually teaches and its history.
Well here is my short version of the most basic facts. Judaism and Christianities principle leaders are Moses and Jesus. Islam’s is the Prophet Muhammad. All three speak of only “one true god,” and a promise of heaven. Judaism is the oldest and Islam is the newest, being about fourteen hundred years old. All preach a godly set of rules and standards, such as seen in the Ten Commandments. All practice the spreading of they’re beliefs to those “nonbelievers.”
The Torah is the most holy of the sacred writings in Judaism. The term “Torah” means “teaching” or “instruction,” and may also be interpreted as “Law,” and refers to the Five Books of Moses.
Christianity, Judaism and Islam, are all classified as Abrahamic Religions, as all three trace lineage to the personage of Abraham, and the Bible containing both the Old Testament and the New Testament, is the holiest tome for Christians. Although there are many different groups within Christianity the common thread of they’re belief is in the Trinity, or belief in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that Jesus was the son of God and that he was crucified on a cross for the sins of mankind and then resurrected, and returned to God.
The Quran (or Koran), which means “recitation” is the holiest book of Islam, although the Sunnah (the words and deeds of the Prophet Muhammad) is also revered at almost the same level as the Quran. The only “true” Quran can only be printed in Arabic. Unlike the Torah or the Bible, Muslims believe the original Quran to have been written by God (Allah) himself and given to Prophet Muhammad. The commonality for Muslims is the adherence to the Five Pillars of Islam or the five duties that unite Muslims into a community or Ummah. Islam also teaches that the word of God was distorted by Moses and Jesus and that the Prophet Muhammad not only presented Gods desires in an unadulterated fashion, but that Prophet Muhammad is the “perfect human,” or example of how all pious, godly men should behave and act.
So far so good, as all three religions believe they are speaking of the same god. So what’s the big deal? Well, as the old saying goes, the devils in the details. Here are several of those differences that set the religion of Islam apart from the others are this.
First, the religion of Islam also requires Islamic Law, or Sharia Law, to be strictly adhered to by all Muslims. This is no small difference, as Sharia Law touches on virtually every aspect of a Muslims life. From lending and dietary practices, to criminal punishments and how to treat non-Muslims, to warfare and social life, Sharia Law is God’s law and as such, is inviolate.
Secondly, Jihad which is usually taken to mean military exertion against non-Muslim’s in defense or for the expansion of the Islamic Ummah (community) and is also called the “sixth pillar.” The Quran preaches that there can only be one religion, that of Islam and that all non-Muslim societies and people must be offered only one of three choices (to avoid warfare);
a. Convert, and become a Muslim
b. Pay the non-Muslim “tax” known as the Jizya
c. War
You will note there is no mention, or even latitude for the mention of “peaceful coexistence,” other than by Islamic beliefs. In essence, convert or die. Muslims also believe that the only sure way to reach that special part of heaven with those “doe eyed virgins” is through death (martyrdom) during Jihad against non-Muslims.
Thirdly, the restoration of the Caliphate, or most powerful servant of God on earth, and a true “world leader” in the purest meaning of that term. The Caliphate would be mankind’s direct connection to God himself.
Fourthly, the belief that non-Muslims (infidels) are less than truly human, that it is a sin to lie, cheat, steal, or kill a fellow Muslim, but its not a sin to commit those same offenses against infidels, or non-Muslims. Another example is that it is ok for a Muslim man to marry a non-Muslim woman, but not ok for a Muslim woman to marry to marry a non-Muslim male.
Fifthly, as Prophet Muhammad is the pinnacle of what a “godly man” should be, whatever he did may also be emulated by male Muslims. For example, in many Muslim countries it is permissible to not only marry more than one woman, but it is highly encouraged that like the Prophet himself, who married Aisha when she was only six and consummated that marriage when she was nine; so to should pious Muslim men marry child-brides before they have their first period.
There are several other “differences” between this religion of Islam and the other two, but I think these are a pretty good representation of the key differences. Ultimately, the key difference from this second largest religion in the world today is it is a religion wrapped within a political structure that is inherently both racist, supremacist, violent, and sexist. Any questions?
Now I know that there are plenty of people in Western society that will insist that you can discern the same from Judaism and Christianity, but where are those manifestations seen around the world, as we see today, now, from Muslims? Nor do I say that all Muslims are racist, violent or sexist. People are people the world over. Most avoid conflict and just want to be able to raise their families, obtain a decent career that will pay their basic needs, and hopefully a bit more.
It must also be noted that only ten to fifteen percent of all Muslims can read, write or speak Arabic, so essentially they don’t even really know what they’re own religion teaches. In societies where the Muslim population is very low, no problem, the nice Muslims are active in their communities, and often involved in peaceful activities. Once the Muslim population approaches or exceeds ten or fifteen percent of a non-Muslim country’s population, this same community “suddenly” takes on a much more confrontational aspect. This is when you have the “radicalized” Imams suddenly and forcefully telling those self same peaceful Muslims what their religion really demands of them, and if they don’t want to be ostracized from their families and communities (or have even worse happen to them and theirs) they need to at the very least “support” those brave Jihadist warriors of Allah with their material and spiritual assistance.
The Saudi tribe banded together long ago with an equally violent sect of Islamic proponents known as Wahhabis, which became the “spiritual” advisors to the Saudi tribe. They co-exist even to this day. In the 1960’s the Saudi tribe, by that time christened the “Royal” Saudi’s, saw opportunity in taking another radical group under they’re wing known as the Muslim Brotherhood. They have been preaching this particularly violent form (or simply the more fundamentalist adherents of the true preaching of Islam and Prophet Muhammad) throughout the world ever since.
Today it is strongly believed by some American intelligence services that about eighty percent of all the Muslim “charitable,” and “civil rights” organizations within the United States, along with about an equal number of Muslim mosques, are directly, or indirectly funded, supported and under the direction of those stellar “allies” of American’s, the Saudi’s. Still, nearly seven years after 9/11, not much has been done about this situation. Why? Because America (along with virtually every other Western government) has a difficult time in grasping that the world’s second largest religion can seriously threaten them. Violence and secrecy are the tools of the Islamic “radicals” in the world today, but it is ignorance and an unwavering belief in Multiculturalism and Political Correctness that prevents those same governments from taking even the most rudimentary steps in defending themselves.
What we hear instead, are the M/C and P/C crowds of automated know-nothings trying to justify the obvious acts of violence and sedition carried out by Muslims for Islam against non-Muslims in they’re oft repeated mantra of world domination to the only one TRUE religion, by claiming that they are merely “fringe elements” of an otherwise “peaceful” religion. They will point to other acts of violence committed by non-Muslims, to prove their point. People like Timothy McVeigh, which they will label as the obvious act of a “Christian radical,” despite the obvious and complete lack of any evidence that the horrific act of violence he committed was in any way committed by a Christian, for Christians, that was supported by Christians and is believed to be what Christianity in general, and the Bible in particular, teaches Christians to do throughout the world today. Or Jews, or Buddhists, or Hindus, etcetera.
Actions ALWAYS speak louder than words, and what actions of violence and terror are we witnessing on an almost daily basis around the world today? Why the THOUSANDS of acts of terror and violence committed by those self-professed followers of the “religion of peace” Islam. Despite the obvious, the self-deluded, ignorant and anti-American apologist would have us all believe that nothing is amiss and that the proponents of Islam are no more likely to harm a non-Muslim than are religious believers of any other major religion.
This is analogous to a large male intruder breaking through the front door of your home, wearing a mask and carrying a large knife, who then orders you to get into your shower and begins pulling down the shower curtain to cover you in, while all the time telling you that as long as you do what he says you wont be hurt! Personally I don’t really care what he is telling me, I am going to be too busy responding to what his actions are making clear to me are his true intentions!
After nearly seven years since 9/11 I believe many Americans, tired of hearing our politicians, college professors, judges, and main stream media insistence that “all is well,” even as we see and hear the lie in their words, have been gradually learning more and more about this so called “peaceful” religion. On the other hand the longer we go without any similar 9/11’s having occurred within our country, the more I fear people are simply going back to sleep.
Let’s face it, no major religious leader or prophet had more blood on their hands than did the Prophet Muhammad, in a very literal sense. No religion has shared a history of bloody conquest than has the religion of Islam. Again the apologists would have use believe that the Christians were themselves guilty of this “bloody conquest” history, and they’re proof is the Crusades. Again, history is very clear that each of the Crusades was only initiated as a “defensive war” against the violent spread of Islam, and even that took almost four hundred years before enough Christian countries were actually goaded to the point that they felt the need to respond with force, to meet the force of Islam.
I certainly don’t claim to be a scholar of anything, but after more than two years of concerted studying and vetting thousands of articles and dozens of books, along with what I see and hear around me and around the world today, I don’t believe that you must be an expert to be able to let the facts take me where they will. My personal study has simply led me to opine what those facts have made abundantly clear; that Islam has an agenda and it bodes no good for non-Muslims and peace loving Muslims alike.
