I have always believed that the term “expert” is all too often overused in our society. During and after the most recent Mumbai Islamic jihadist attacks you could turn to every major American news agency in print, television or radio, and hear these so called “experts” all trying to explain why the attacks were conducted against so many unarmed people. They generally seemed to parrot each others basic premise that it was an effort to force India to agree to concessions on Kashmir. That it was done to further strain the recently improving relationship between Pakistan and India. That it was done to attack the increasing Indian economy.

   However, I did not hear even one of these “experts” state what should have been the two most obvious reasons. The first is that the so called “religion of peace” isn’t. That the Islamic terrorists were killing “kafirs” (non-Muslims) in accordance with this blatantly racist and supremacist socio-political-religious ideology wrapped within a so-called “religion” and it’s stated demands that there can only be one religion, and of course that religion is Islam. That non-Muslims are to be subjugated and forced to pay a special non-Muslim tax befitting their second class status, or killed, for their beloved prophet told them so. In fact I was hard pressed to find any MSM reporter willing to even refer to the Mumbai butchers as “Islamic” anything. They were simply “gunmen” or “terrorists” but very seldom “Islamic” terrorists.

   Secondly, these so called “experts” never mentioned that after numerous and recent suicide bombings and killings by these Islamic thugs in Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Nigeria, the Philippines, and the numerous prior bombings in India which killed even more innocents than the Mumbai massacre resulted in, the Islamic thugs only received brief (if any) mention in the Western media reports. The terrorists are using basic terrorist doctrines that require the complicity of the international media to aid in the spread of that terror. After the past 18 months of horrendous terror acts the Western media simply wasn’t doing its part.

   The Islamic cowards could kill unarmed men, women, and children, by the trainload, but as long as they were “just” Pilipino, or Pakistani’s, Indians, or other non-Western peoples, the terrorists simply were not getting the maximum bang for their buck. We Westerner’s barely took notice, if we took notice at all. This time the Islamic butchers were given implicit instructions to kill as many Westerners as possible. Of course the hated Jews are always at the top of the Islamic hit list as well. This time they were wildly successful in the butcher of only half-a-dozen Westerners. The MSM couldn’t report enough about the tragic events, especially when it looked like the number of dead and wounded Westerners would be much higher than turned out to be the reality.

   Yes, the “experts” may all be right in their stated opinions as far as they went, but the real lesson here is that attacks on Westerners, and particularly American and British citizens will once again be all the rage in future Islamic terrorism. Even if we Westerners haven’t yet figured this one out you can bet the Islamic butchers that brought us 9/11, the Madrid bombings and the 7/7 attacks have obviously come to their senses and will not commit the same mistakes again. Westerners are back on the menu in a big way but no one seems to have yet figured that little bit of knowledge out.

   I believe that in the very near future the Islamic followers of their thug-in-chief, the lifestyle and teachings of the Prophet Mohammad himself, will ensure that we all get the message soon.  

  

This is the second in a series which takes a closer look at the religion of Islam, often referred to (by the Muslims themselves of course) as the “Religion of Peace.” In the first part we looked at the treatment of women within this 7^th century religion. Today I want to explore a brief look at how the so called Religion of Peace looks at, and treats, other religions.

·         On November 25, 2008, that “moderate Muslim” country of Malaysia brought us this article, “The Islamic religious councils of seven Malaysian states and the Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association are turning to the federal court for the ban of the use of the word “Allah” in the weekly Catholic Herald.” A Christian newspaper. Even though the Malaysian constitution guarantees full religious freedom for all religions, it appears that an ordinance issued by the Muslim interior security ministry issued a 1986 law prohibiting the use of the word “Allah” (which simply means God) by non-Muslim publications. It is important to remember what with so many Muslims in predominantly non-Muslim countries such as ours, that despite those Religion of Peace practitioners’ insistences that the religion of Islam gets along with all other religions, it only does so as the superior and dominant religion.

·         This is further evidenced by the recent (Nov, 21, 08) report of a Muslim riot after a 14 year old boy, who didn’t know the segregationist status of “Dhimmi” behavior expected of non-Muslims resulted in a violent attack by a large mob of angry Religion of Peace adherents. “Muslim villagers attacked the homes and shops of Coptic Christians in Tayyiba (Egypt), a town with 35,000 Christians and 10,000 Muslims, after 14-year-old Copt Mina William failed to dismount his donkey as a (Muslim) funeral procession passed.” Don’t let the number of Christians vs. Muslims fool you as the total non-Muslim population of Egypt totals less than 15%. “Williams failure to dismount violated a local custom of showing respect, (this is another complete obfuscation, as any non-Muslim people’s, known as Dhimmis, are obviously required to show special reverence to any Muslims they may encounter) and members of the procession reportedly beat him before completing the procession.” Remember this was a 14 year old child who didn’t know any better. Of course the beating wasn’t considered punishment enough so after the funeral the Muslim population then used this opportunity to terrorize and steal from the local Christian population. Don’t expect any serious charges to be filed against any of the Muslim instigators of this atrocity by the Muslim government.

·         Every European and North American nation welcomes religious leaders from around the world to visit or live within their nations. How do the Religion of Peace adherents reciprocate this seemingly reasonable accommodation? Currently 22 Muslim nations don’t permit admittance of any non-Muslim religious leaders for either visits or residency. Two of those nations are Iraq and Afghanistan! The other Muslim nations impose very strict restrictions and laws making even formal visits by non-Muslim religious leaders very difficult. Isn’t it amazing how those Religion of Peace adherents only seem to insist (and often demand) that non-Muslims see them as such a fun-loving, tolerant, and peaceful religion in every non-Muslim country, but they don’t seem to worry about such trivialities when they are in charge of a country?

·         Every one of the Muslim ruled nations has some form of Sharia Law (Islamic Law) incorporated in part, or in it entirety, into their nations constitutional laws. Again, both Iraq and Afghanistan’s first order of business when they began drawing up their new national constitutions (after our soldiers demonstrated once again why they are the best soldiers in the world) was to install the concept that no law could supersede Sharia Law. How many billions of U.S. dollars, and gallons of U.S. blood, have we shed ourselves of, only to see the 7^th century religious/political/supremacist ideology passing itself as a religion, to reemerge yet again?

·         The recent violence in Iraq especially around the Mosul area, has been those Religion of Peace adherents we helped to “free,” killing and terrorizing the estimated 2 million Christian Iraqi’s, of which at least half that population has been forced to flee the country for their lives. This is of course, the actions of our “allies,” not that you will hear a word of this in our liberal (i.e., Christian hating) MSM.

·         In Thailand, the Philippines, India, China, and a very great many other nations around the world, come daily reports of rapes, murder, the desecration of churches and synagogues, vicious and unprovoked attacks with guns, machetes, knives, acid, and generally whatever else may be at hand; all committed by Muslim followers of the Religion of Peace. Still American’s don’t seem to have been able to put two and two together?

·         In that liberal bastion of Multiculturalism and Political Correctness, Minneapolis, Minnesota, we have seen the Muslim taxi drivers refuse to transport non-Muslim Americans  carrying pork products, alcohol, or even the blind’s sight assist dogs. Target cashiers have refused to ring up people trying to purchase other “haram” or Islamic forbidden items! This was also the scene of the infamous "flying imans" case. What’s the big deal, you may ask? Because the response has generally been the response of Dhimmis from those very same Muslim countries from whence these Religion of Peace adherents hail from. Target arranged to have other cashiers come and ring up those troublesome products, and prayer rooms and foot washing basins were installed at the Minneapolis airport, thereby ensuring an increasing demand for “special rights” by our Muslim citizens. I won’t even go into the security issues of actually creating areas within our airports for Muslims to loiter where no authority will dare question them for fear of being sued or even worse, being accused of being a racist “Islamaphobe.”

·         Have we already forgotten the brazen murder of Theo van Gough in Denmark? He made a short film questioning the so called Religion of Peace and was murdered in broad daylight. Or what of the tens of thousands of Muslims celebrating the 9/11 attacks? Or the 2005 “cartoon” riots that resulted in the deaths of more than 70 people?

·         Why is it ok for a Muslim to marry a non-Muslim woman but it is forbidden for a Muslim woman to marry a non-Muslim man? Why is the so called Religion of Peace insisting on the death penalty for any Muslim to convert to another religion?

·         How can there be so little questioning of Saudi Arabia’s insistence that a mosque be built in Greece when it is against Saudi law for any church or synagogue to be built in their nation?

   Again, this is just a very brief look at the so called Religion of Peace’s insistence of special accommodations to their every demand even as they deny all non-Muslims the same tolerance or accommodations? Are American’s even aware that we have the fourth largest Muslim population in the world? How long will we continue to whistle in the dark and hope against hope that this will all just go away?

   I am repeatedly amazed that so many Americans don’t understand the threat of Islamic fundamentalism so many years after 9/11. With the recent Mumbai attacks I thought I would do my small part to try and help those pour souls learn a few facts that still seem to elude so many.

   Islam is one of the monotheistic (belief in one god), Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) that was started by the Islamic prophet Muhammad back in the 7^th century. Islam means “submission,” and any person who accepts that Allah is the only true god and that the Prophet Mohammad was his messenger, is considered a Muslim. It is important to note that there is no “race” to Muslims, despite the many calls by irritated Muslims and Imams (Islamic religious leaders) who continue to claim that the current climate of “Islamaphobia” is an example of the rampant “racism” displayed against the Islamic community, or umma.

   I thought we should take a very brief look at the ways that this so called “religion of peace” has inserted itself into the very fabric of Western (read non-Muslim/infidel) nations in the hope that the reader will have a better understanding of just what this religion demands (especially from the infidels, or non-Muslim peoples), what it is willing to give (good luck on this one) and what it’s openly stated goals are. Another point of interest is how often did you hear our main-stream media mention the term “Islamic terrorists” during the recent Mumbai tragedy? A number of the MSM reports even indicated the possibility that the terrorists may actually be of Indian origin! Talk about obfuscation.

   First, let’s take a look at how the religion of Islam treats its fairer sex.

·         From the Telegraph dated November 12, 2008 – “Three Afghan schoolgirls suffered serious burns when attackers sprayed acid in their faces as they walked to school.” Their crime? They were not fully covered from head to toe in the formless burqa. (I am not going to cite every article as that would simply take up to much space for this article. You can Google these yourselves.)

·         Honor killings accompany every Muslim society, regardless of whether they are in Iran or the U.S.

·         Female genital mutilation (FMG) is reported to be performed on nearly 80% of all Egyptian females. We wouldn’t want them to let their hormones get the best of them. Of course you see no such requirements for males…

·         Since the Prophet Mohammad married Aisha at the tender age of 6 and consummated the marriage as soon as she turned 9, many Islamic “scholars” agree that marrying child brides by men as old as 85 is permissible. Indeed the Islamic teachings encourage all Muslim parents to marry their female children before their first menstruation to ensure their virtue and purity. Once again we see these wretched 7^th century concepts carried into the 21^st century virtually unchanged.

·         In many Muslim cultures it is permissible for men to have up to 3 wives.

·         The “virtue” of Muslim girls is apparently so cherished that when an all girl’s school caught fire in Saudi Arabia, the religious police actually got into fist fights with Saudi police and fire fighters, rather than allow more than a dozen of the young girls to escape the school without their coverings. As a result, all the girls were killed in the fire.

·         Recently a teenage girl was stoned to death in Somalia. Her offense? Adultery. Of course this sex kitten claimed that she had been raped by several local “jihadists” but since she couldn’t come up with the 4 witnesses required by Sharia (Islamic) Law to verify her story, she was found guilty and stoned. Victimized twice by that “religion of peace” that just keeps on giving.  

·         Recently the FBI actually took the bold stance of calling a recent honor killing of two teenage sisters by their father, what it was, an honor killing, only to reverse their decision 24 hours later. Apparently political correctness and multiculturalism prevents calling a duck a duck.

·         Malaysian Islamic leaders recently issued a fatwa banning lesbianism and “tomboy” behavior among girls and women. You don’t need to worry your little noodle about what defines such behavior, especially the “tomboy” behavior; as such things are decided by religious leaders, not the parents.

·         In Pakistan recently, two Christian sisters aged 9 and 13, were kidnapped by local Muslims, raped and “married” off to their abductors/rapists. It required an international effort to get the local Islamic verdict overturned (the Islamic court had agreed that she had wed of her own free will) on the 9 year old, but efforts are continuing to force the release of the teenage sister.

·         A Muslim man can divorce one of his wives by simply stating, or more recently, by phone texting her, and stating 3 times, “I divorce you.” Of course a woman, or girl, who has lost their virginity is generally disdained by their society and often turn to prostitution or suicide, if they don’t have family willing to support them for the rest of their lives.

·         The existence of Muslim women and girls are expected to sexually please their male partners, and may be legally beaten by their husbands for crimes as serious as not making a meal to the man’s demanding standards. They are also considered baby machines to further propagate the Islamic peoples. Jihad can play hell, what with everyone wanting to die in battle against us infidels, thereby ensuring their entry into the best part of Muslim heaven.   

·         Here is another title from just last month, “Female Kuwaiti cabinet ministers may face dismissal for not wearing headscarves.” This despite the lack of any Kuwaiti law requiring them to do so. In Iraq and Afghanistan female ministers and other elected politicians are faced with death threats on a daily basis, but if a Muslim man rapes any woman it is almost impossible to obtain a conviction. Islam teaches that a woman’s testimony is worth only half that of a Muslim mans. Hence the difficulty in obtaining 4 men (or 8 women) who actually witness the act of sexual penetration.  

·         Apparently Muslim women only seem to find some power when they practice their faith in predominantly non-Muslim countries. For example, very recently Muslim female employees of UPS won a lawsuit settlement against their employer. Their complaint? They were expected to wear the same uniforms as all the other female employee’s. The 8 women lost their jobs in 2005 because they refused to hike their skirts above the knee over their long pants, which posed a serious safety issue. Apparently slacks are considered to “revealing” for the pious Muslim woman.

·         In just the past two years there have been several high profile cases of girls as young as 8 demanding divorces from their “husbands.”

·         Earlier this month a Southern California county jail agreed to allow female Muslim inmates to wear headscarves after settling a lawsuit with a woman who claimed that deputies violated her religious freedom by making her remove her hijab. The county will now ensure that Muslim females have “a private” area to remove their headscarves after arrest and they must also be provided with county-issued headscarves, at taxpayer expense, with which they can cover themselves in the presence of men, and will also pay $45,000 in damages. Of course most of the payment will go to those stalwarts of American ideology, the ACLU, for their legal expenses. But in this at least, Muslim men and women find equality as evidenced by this recent tidbit of news. In the United Kingdom Muslim prisoners are given fresh clothes and bedding after K-9 dogs search their cells. The inmates say these items MUST be changed according to Islamic law (I don’t think anyone ever asked them to show the actual chapter and verse that “demands” this, but I digress) and the K-9 dogs have been BANNED from sniffing or touching the Koran and “other religious items.” In fact the PRISONERS are provided with “special bags” to protect these sacred artifacts before the search begins. Not too surprisingly both the prisons staff and other prisoners are upset by what they claim to be the special treatment of the Muslim prisoners! How very Islamaphobic of the heathens, wouldn’t you agree?

     It would appear that the American values that have made our country the greatest nation in the history of the world are being discarded as quickly as many a Hollywood celebrity sheds their latest spouse. It is very discouraging to see the nation that has served as the greatest hope to the world shaking itself apart at an alarmingly rapid rate.

   The gay “rights” movement that has insisted that it is a civil rights movement on par with the black civil rights movement of the 60’s, failing to get their way, has revealed themselves for the very narrow minded thugs which they would have the “straight” community believe they were the victims of. They show themselves to be intolerant of religion, democracy, civility, and compassion that surpasses any stereotypes that they have insisted, without much evidence to support such assertions, that they themselves have been the alleged “victims” of. Not satisfied with the fact that most states in this country now recognize “civil unions” that provide all the same legal entitlements of, but with out the title of “marriage,” has been behaving like a group of spoiled 4 year olds that didn’t get their way. Despite the overwhelming evidence that the majority of their society has repeatedly demonstrated a tolerance for such lifestyles, the gay community wants to force on their society, using the very same strong arm, close minded prejudices, which they have been screaming bloody murder that they were the victims of, is simply another indication of how small (and in this case very small minded) interest groups have turned this country on its head.

   From physically assaulting little old ladies exercising their legal right to express their view points, to publishing the names of every donor in California who voted against the gay rights demands to change the definition of what a marriage is, to wild demonstrations that were meant to intimidate and cow any party or individual who was not “one” of them. The ridiculous law suit filed by a gay man in New Jersey against an online dating service that had the temerity to not offer a “gay” section was ridiculous enough. The fact that a judge agreed and demanded that the owners of a private business had to pay off this miscreant, as well as change their private business model to allow for gay dating on the web site, certainly shows how far this land that was supposed to be “of the people, for the people” has fallen.

   Outrageous court rulings against private businesses such as gun manufacturers, cigarette companies, energy companies, et al, is rapidly diminishing what being American was supposed to be about.  The fact that many of these unethical court cases were brought about by municipal, county, state, and federal government entities should have been met with an outraged howl from the masses but were only met with barely a whimper has ensured the fate of American’s every where.

   The “Tight Blue Jean Defense,” the “Twinkie” Defense, and the many similarly ridiculous legal defenses and challenges from well known anti-American groups have all had the ultimate effect of denying responsibilities of the individual. This has necessitated the burgeoning role of government to step in and be responsible for its citizens in unintended and unprecedented ways. The ACLU has made it clear that it will challenge and undermine any reference to Christianity, not just from any level of government, which includes schools, but private enterprise as well. Yet other religions such as the religion of Islam are perfectly fine within those same institutions.

   We have now reached the point that illegal aliens are permitted to openly protest and demand their “rights” to drivers license’s, their right to even be here, albeit illegally, and to live and work here despite their illegal means of doing so. Their demands to be given “special rights,” that are not even accorded to the legal residents of this nation. City and state governments openly break their own states laws, and the laws of the federal government in openly providing “sanctuary” for these self same illegal’s, while spending the tax dollars of its legal residents, without their consent (in most cases) to house and protect these very same illegal aliens.

   The recent talk about how America needs to “earn” its right to be a productive member of the “global” community, as though we have anything to be ashamed of. That our torture of homicidal fanatics, using the water-boarding technique, which appears to be about the worst interrogation technique used, is somehow comparable to the extreme violence that is simply the norm in most countries of the world with far less justification.

   For example, were you even aware that the vast majority of our POW’s captured during the first Iraq war were raped? Yep, men and women, it made no difference. And remember these were uniformed military personnel engaged in open warfare against another countries military forces and as such were supposedly bound to the Geneva Convention, which outlines the proper treatment that all POW’s are supposed to be treated in accordance with but which only the civilized countries like the United States actually adhere to. Just look at the way that our military personnel have been treated by the Japanese, Germans, N. Korean’s, Chinese, Russians, and the Vietnamese. They have all routinely tortured (and I don’t mean the use of just water-boarding) our POW’s and then look at how their captured soldiers, airmen, and sailors were treated by America, Canada, Britain, Australia, etc.

   The difference with the animals that are being held at Gitmo, and the 3 or 4 animals that have reportedly been subjected to the water-boarding technique, is that they are not government military service personnel just following the orders of their commanding officers. These are stateless terrorist thugs who brought us such acts as 9/11, the Madrid, Spain bombings, the U.S.S. Cole bombing, the Daniel Pearl beheading, the 7/7 tube bombings in London, and the more than 15,000 other Islamic terrorist atrocities committed around the world since 9/11. They have no regard for Muslim and non-Muslim alike. Men, women and children are all fair game. To equate these animals with military POW’s, or even with the typical criminal within the justice system is, and would be sheer madness.

   Sadly, there are far too few American’s that are even aware of what is going on in their country (let alone the world) or seem to care. Just look at all the reports now showing how little the average American even knew about the basic facts of our recent presidential politics. Or the intelligence report that was just released, projecting that America will not be the superpower by 2025 that it is today, will ultimately be the fault of a lethargic society that will have earned every bit of its pathetic existence. God bless America, because no one else will.

    I believe the American government chose to lose both the war on terror in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan in the first 12 months of each of those fronts but not for the reason that so many on the far left would have us believe. We lost because our government has not only refused to understand the so called “religion of peace” (Islam) but has actually insisted on choosing the very Islamic supremacist type of Muslim’s that are allied with the Islamic terrorists we are supposedly at war with.

   I don’t believe in the “Bush lied, people died” mantra, but I do believe that seven years after 9/11 Bush is no better informed about who or what the real enemy is, than he was pre-9/11. What a shame, but more to the point what a complete failure of our leader’s clarity of vision. None the less, I do recall a united bi-partisan agreement to both the Afghanistan and Iraqi wars and the fact that nearly 70% of our citizenry now believe it was all a President Bush/Republican “plot” to settle an old score with Saddam Hussein simply high lights the power and duplicity of our liberal mainstream media’s ability to alter the facts to whatever they choose to make of them. It’s like that book, “Animal Farm” come to life.

   The reasons I believe that we have lost both the Afghanistan and Iraqi wars are as follows.

1.       We allowed both governments to install Sharia Law (Islamic law) as the highest authority of both countries governments. This means that no matter what else we achieve during our endeavors in either country, we had already lost.

2.       We have allowed both governments to openly display their Islamic supremacist pathos in many unchallenged ways. For example, neither country allows non-Islamic religious leaders into their countries even as America allows hundreds (if not thousands) of these countries own Islamic religious leaders into our own country. We continue to allow both countries governments to openly snub and belittle all the positive and often costly rebuilding efforts by our American soldiers. For example the Iraqi government is actually tearing down some of the schools, playgrounds and other construction projects built with the American taxpayer dollars and with the blood of our service members, and then rebuilding them just so the Iraqi government can point to these projects as Iraqi (Muslim) built.

       Don’t even get me started on the support or lack thereof, shown by our many so called “allies.” I am a firm believer in taking the war to our enemies and fighting those necessary battles on their ground in their countries but I am also a firm believer that the moment we allowed these two Muslim governments to install Sharia Law as the foundation of their constitutions we had already lost; and every drop of American blood, sweat, and tears, not to mention the many billions and billions of American dollars, were all spent in vain.

   The really depressing part of this mess is that it isn’t as if America didn’t have experience in how to rebuild former enemy governments, as we have successfully done in both Germany and Japan. It would appear that none of our current political leaders, as well as our military leaders, bothered to study those successes choosing instead to believe that the Iraqi citizenry would simply greet us with joy and an equally pervasive Multicultural love fest. Apparently nobody in power ever thought about the history of Islam or the fact that Shiite, Sunni, Kurds and Christians all occupied this country in one of the most violent and turbulent regions of the world.

   This failure of any firm grasp of reality or a “plan” is equally obvious in almost every international endeavor the U.S. is currently involved in. From the abortion that is the U.N., the ludicrous NATO organization, and even to low-tech, extremely violent Islamic “pirates” attacking ships under the noses of the impotent American navy, who don’t want to “hurt anyone” because that may cause more anti-American sentiments among our “allies” and certain NGO’s.  

   I have news for our politically correct leaders, we are already the favorite whipping post for the rest of the world so why not use the conviction of our own belief in America and do the right thing regardless of what our sniveling “allies” think. I, for one, actually believe that showing a little back bone would actually garner the very support that our government seems to crave from the majority of the worlds leaders.

    I have recently read several articles where our main stream media (MSM) has been referred to as the “fourth house” referring to the White House, the two houses of Congress and now the power of the fourth “house,” the MSM. As if it wasn’t bad enough that our government has become so obviously dysfunctional that the unethical behavior of our elected politicians today would have led to their impeachment and/or criminal charges less than a decade ago, today they don’t even bother to try to hide their “me first” power plays.

   In an all too bitter presidential election year where the approval rating of our current President is at an historical low and the approval rating of Congress is even lower still, we now have an unchecked liberal media that shuns truth and impartiality in favor of “spin,” innuendo, and out right fabrication. In a nation that is identified as being only about 20% liberal (from the more respectable polling companies left) it should be alarming enough for the remaining 80% percent of the nations citizens that this extremely important bastion of freedom (the MSM) has fallen so totally to the fanatical fringes of our society.

   It shouldn’t be a great surprise to any of us that after more than three decades of relatively unmolested liberal hypocrisy and fanaticism bolstered by the “religion” of Multiculturalism and Political Correctness, and is directly due to the primary bastion of the ultra-leftist ideology; America’s colleges and universities. Where did people think our fresh faced journalists and reporters spent a critical formative portion of their young lives and education?

   Hillary Clinton came from a staunch Republican family until that is, she attended college. Even John McCain’s daughter proudly claims that she is a Democrat. A shift in her political thinking that seems to have occurred after she began college.  

   This is clear from the latest unending vitriolic attacks on Sarah Palin by our (you guessed it) Democratic MSM liberal ideology. When attacking her “lack of experience” and her 17 year old daughter’s unwed pregnancy had been reported ad nauseam, now the MSM is reporting on the two Alaskan churches she has attended and horror of horrors the MSM has reported almost ashen faced in their obvious disgust, as they have announced that Palin is a Christian! It turns out, the MSM reports, that Palin was raised in a Pentecostal church where they believe in speaking in “tongues,” that Jesus Christ died on the cross for all man kinds sins, the sanctity of life (i.e., abortion), and loving our neighbors! The MSM would have us believe that this could constitute a serious threat to national security if a devout Christian should become the President of the United States, or even the Vice President, who is only a “heartbeat” away from the presidency.

   It must be remembered that this is the same MSM who has simply refused to report the rest of the worlds news ever since the DNC convention and apparently plans to continue it’s self imposed black out until the end of this presidential race. The Russia – Georgia conflict, the utter failure of the recent gun bans in Canada and more recently Australia, Obama’s well documented (though unreported) ties to a wide variety of “radical” anti-American types, and of course the Iraqi and Afghanistan war fronts.

   The same was true of John Edwards “unfortunate” affair with a woman he met in a bar and paid handsomely to be a sort of publicist, while his doting wife was battling terminal cancer. It wasn’t our MSM that broke this story. It was the National Enquirer and hundreds of serious “bloggers’ around the country. The MSM only paid this story lip service when it could no longer be kept out of the headlines.

   Now we have Obama himself telling a crowd of his faithful that “you shouldn’t be able to make this stuff up. To reinvent yourself” while referring to the policies of McCain. This should be akin to waving a red flag to a real journalist but we can rest assured that in the ensuing silence you can hear the crickets chirp and the soft breeze playing with the tree tops. Obama can make such a bold statement with the complete confidence of a man who has nothing to fear from what passes today as our nation’s current pack of “journalists.” The Obama camp has been pummeling McCain on his 90% voting record while failing to point out that Obama has a nearly 100% voting record for the Democratic party. The Obama camp has made no bones about the fact that they are expecting the MSM to dig up enough dirt, or baring that, at least more half-truths and innuendo on Palin. Does anyone really believe that Obama came from no where and is now the presidential candidate for the DNC over the hugely powerful, though obviously not powerful enough, Clinton machine?

    As disturbing as all this is, there is something that should be even more disturbing to America. That is the quiet acquisitions being made by rich Arab countries like Saudi Arabia. They are using the enormous wealth that they never had to work for with the sweat of their own brows, but which flows from the sheer happenstance that their desert sands contain so much of the world’s oil. Now as a capitalist I don’t necessarily blame them for their incredible good luck but I can certainly take offense at the way they have chosen to use that enormous wealth. You might think that they would have spent that vast fortune on their own lands and people. Instead they have chosen to spread the world wide terrorism that is the Arabic religion of Wahhabi Islam along with it’s militant arm the Muslim Brotherhood.

   This is their legacy to the world; incredibly violent acts around the world on top of the most virulent form of racial supremacist ideology known to mankind. A political manifesto wrapped in a religion. A nation that supposedly espouses “religious cooperation and tolerance,” while refusing to allow leaders of non-Islamic religions into the “sacred kingdom.”

   They have bought up huge portions of the world’s financial centers, banking industries and yes, our own MSM. There is a famous account of one of the so called Saudi “royals” sitting in his New York penthouse suite watching the news coverage of the 2005 French Muslim riots occurring in hundreds of cities around that unfortunate country. It is reported that he picked up his phone and made a call to the head of one of the nations largest MSM CEO’s and complained at the continuing use of the term “rioting Muslim youths.” It was also reported that within 20 minutes of that phone call the term “Muslim” was dropped from all further reporting on those MSM stations.    

   Not that I am excusing the ultra-liberal MSM who haven’t the brains to understand that the majority of Americans easily identify with Palin, not McCain, and certainly not the radical Obama or Biden , because Palin is much more representative of mainstream Americans. This only becomes more obvious with each MSM “special” on the fact that Palin is a Christian, that her family enjoys the beautiful abundance of the Alaskan wilderness (as opposed to the ridiculous view of most of our nations “conservation” groups which would have us all believe that the only way to enjoy nature is to enshrine it and stay the hell out of it) and that ultimately she is some sort of zealot who shouldn’t be trusted anywhere near the most powerful position in all the world.

   Yet they generally fail to mention that Ronald Reagan, George Bush and Bill Clinton were all Governors before they became president. Ronald Reagan was treated to a similar tirade of liberal media pundits during his campaign and early presidency and yet it turns out he made a pretty darn good president, despite his religious affiliations to Christianity. One particularly pushy journalist asked President Reagan if he had a plan for dealing with the cold war threat of the U.S.S.R. to which his response was both immediate and telling. “We win. They lose.” That certainly seemed to sum up his feelings quite nicely don’t you think?

    With this evenings conclusion of the RNC convention this countries political parties candidates are truly off to the races. The DNC convention was a hugely lavish affair and attended by nearly 100,000 DNC supporter’s with a few hundred “demonstrators” who conducted such wildly subversive activities such as attempting to levitate the Denver Mint building while dressed as Harry Potter characters. The closing celebration was both beautiful and spectacular with the streamers and fireworks. No doubt about it but that Obama, when placed in front of a prepared speech presented by Teleprompters, is a very effective speaker.

   By contrast the RNC was lucky if it attracted 20,000 people (while perhaps as many as 8,000 truly hard core demonstrators showed up), and it did lack the careful choreography of the DNC’s convention, but what the DNC lacked in substance and grassroots appeal the RNC convention more than made up for in simple American values. Still it was like being invited to supper at a billionaire’s palatial mansion one week and to your parents modest but comfortable home the next. I certainly felt much more comfortable with the much more modest but comfortable home of the RNC convention.  McCain is certainly no great orator but it is the substance of his words coupled with the undeniable character of his past that I believe more than makes up for his oratory failings.

   On the other hand Obama doesn’t come across nearly so eloquently when he isn’t reading from a prepared script and this is where McCain excels as evidenced by his speaking at the Saddle Back Church a few weeks ago, as well as his many hundreds of “town hall” meetings where he welcomes any and all questions and has to speak from his knowledge and his heart. Obama appears to be sadly lacking in both. I remember a recent interview where Obama couldn’t seem to complete a sentence with out at least half a dozen “hum’s” and “unh’s.” And who could forget his answer at Saddle Back about his personal belief of when a fetus is considered human? Obama’s incredible answer certainly didn’t express either his knowledge or the feeling of his heart when he stated that was “above my pay grade.” To Obama’s credit he himself obviously knows the truth, hence his decision not to have an unscripted debate with McCain.

   At least I can look forward to a potentially unscripted Vice Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. Like McCain you can be certain that Palin will speak from her heart and I believe she will also speak with knowledge. Hopefully her parties advisers will have prepared her for Biden’s favorite style of attack which has generally been very successful in making his opponents appear even dumber than he is. He has used this tactic for better than twenty years but forewarned is truly forearmed and I believe Palin will be a much tougher nut to crack than he has been used to devouring in the past.

   Ultimately this presidential race will be decided by the voters of our great nation and I refuse to believe that there are truly enough anti-American, anti-good people in this fair country to buy the pure manure that Obama and the MSM have been spreading. It is disturbing enough that because of the MSM’s concerted propaganda machines often repeated mantra of how our current president “mislead” the American people into a totally unilateral decision on his part to “settle an old score” that he “fabricated” the facts that led to the invasion of Iraq and the removal of Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti, the former ruthless dictator of Iraq. This lie, despite the nearly unanimous support of all members of our Congress both Democrat and Republican, along with more than 40 other nations around the world. Joe Biden was even so emboldened that he claimed, as reported by NewsMax.com today, that if elected he and Obama would seek to bring criminal charges against President Bush!

   I certainly don’t agree with a great deal of our current president’s decisions but I shudder to think what his predecessor would have done had 9/11 occurred during his watch.  I believe after the current intensely emotional and completely irrational furor of today has abated and settled into the more rational perspective of a rational evaluation of a historic period in our nations history, it will be determined that President Bush actually accomplished a great deal, despite the opposition. Yes he has certainly had his share of wrong headed policies but no one is perfect.

   I don’t consider myself a Republican or a Democrat but first, last, and always a proud American and I will throw my full support behind the candidate that I believe has the best interests of America first, last, and always. My wife’s uncle is a very nice gentleman who couldn’t hurt a fly except by accident, but he has been a life long Democrat and so he will only vote for a Democrat. During a recent conversation he admitted that he didn’t know much about Obama as he hadn’t really been following the candidates bid for the highest office in our nation. It shows the sort of lazy politics of many Americans, Democrat and Republican alike who don’t fully understand the importance of working to maintain our strong national identity.

   I have to admit that as a young man I wasn’t any different so I don’t mean any disrespect to him or the many other American’s like him. They tend to be good and decent people. They are also very lazy to believe that any democratic society can simply be placed on auto pilot without the potential of a serious disaster if left unattended to long.  I just wish more Americans would have learned from the tragic events such as the Oklahoma City bombing and the even larger tragedy of 9/11, and realized what our founding fathers knew only to well. That evil can only exist where good men do nothing. I believe that is a quote from Burke but I wouldn’t swear to it.

   No one can really argue the tremendous courage that a young McCain faced during more than five years of brutal treatment at the hands of the North Vietnamese government but I certainly don’t fully support all of his views either. However when faced with the only other choice left I will tighten my belt and do everything I possibly can to support he and Governor Palin in their pursuit of our highest elected office because as former Mayor Rudy Giuliani said during the RNC convention, “There is good change and there is bad change.” That pretty much sums up this race in a nutshell.

   This is just a brief update on my last posting made only a couple of hours after the announcement of Sarah Palin’s pick for the Republican Vice Presidents slot. Just today it was announced that Governor Palin’s oldest daughter is 5 months pregnant and unmarried. This has of course caused a feeding frenzy among the MSM, although Obama at least had the good sense to take a strong position (for once without any general nuanced double speak) that all of the current candidates families and especially their children should be “off limits” to media intrusion. The MSM has already seemed to imply that it is somehow the lack of moral standards of Palin that has resulted in her 17 year old daughters pregnancy, along with the not so subtle hints that perhaps if Palin wasn’t so busy pursuing her political career she would have been a better mother to her children.

   This of course completely overlooks the incredible hormone driven lack of wisdom and perspective for teenagers of any generation. Palin’s daughter has been “in love” with the young father for at least the last couple of years as they have been boyfriend-girlfriend since about the start of High School. To hear our MSM talking heads speak you would think they had never been young once and had never made a mistake if they were. For people in a huge glass house of their own making it seems mighty reckless to me that they are so free with throwing stones.

   Despite Obama’s unequivocal stance on this issue I don’t expect this will have much effect on the current MSM frenzy but it may help slow it up a bit within the next 24 hours or so. In the meantime the Larry King Show devoted at least half his program to whether or not this would have any significant impact on Palin’s candidacy. His guest speakers were fairly split between Republican and Democratic supporters but surprisingly included a “live” phone in with CNN reporter Kyra Phillips, who made her support for the DNC position clear. This is the same Kyra Phillips who would also appear on Anderson Cooper’s 360 program questioning how a mother of five, with her own 4 month old child which was born with Downs and now a 17 year old pregnant and unmarried daughter possibly be able to “juggle” the responsibilities of being the potential VP of the country. Of course no such questions have ever been asked about any male politicians where it is simply assumed that the politicians “little woman” would be tending to the children and daily family issues. Not surprising from our “neutral” media of today.

   It shows yet again the complete double standard of the liberal left which is the bedrock of today’s Democratic Party. When Senator Biden’s wife and children were involved in a truly tragic car accident that left his wife and daughter dead and both his son’s in serious condition in the hospital, where were the accusations that Biden would either have to be a terrible parent for taking the senate position – he was after all sworn in while at his sons hospital bedside – or that he would be a terrible Senator due to the requirements of his personal family issues and grieving? Of course no such questions were asked or even considered as he was not a woman running for the senate seat.

   According to at least one media report I heard earlier today some 8,000 to 10,000 demonstrators have descended on Minneapolis to raise holy hell with the RNC convention being held there. It is a sign of the times that almost as many demonstrators are showing up for an event that is reportedly drawing only a fraction of the numbers of supporters which attended the DNC convention last week. It should also be noted that only a few “demonstrators” showed up and they were very subdued. Despite the RNC convention basically being largely postponed there were still more than 80 protestors arrested or detained and this will no doubt be only the beginning for these elitist persons who believe that they are right and anyone who disagrees with them can go to hell. Groups like Code Pink fail to see the irony of their demands for love, peace and an end to war, even as they demonstrate their irrational hatred for our country and our traditional mores.

   Apparently, since Palin is a woman everything that applied for Senator Biden is verboten for the fairer – and Republican – VP candidate. Either way I would like to make a personal little prediction here and now. If Obama loses his bid for the POTUS position, you will hear the liberal pundits such as the talking head, and CNN political pundit David Gergen, and the MSM in general blaming Obama’s loss on McCain’s “lucky” selection of Palin for his VP ticket which stole the poor misguided and uneducated American voters who were either to racist (but at least not to sexist), or to those bitter “gun toting” Americans who failed to realize what a real miracle they had in the personage of their chosen one, Barrack Hussein Obama. Of course they will also probably point out the numerous flaws in Obama’s campaign but I think you get my point.  

 In the meantime the MSM desperately continues to try and “pin down” Republican spokespersons and politicians to admit that Palin’s “utter lack of experience” should prohibit her being appointed to the VP slot. This only continues to allow the Republican and conservative base to repeatedly point out that she has at least as much experience as does Obama. I have noticed that most of the interviews are usually terminated at about this point.

   On the plus side this has all been without any real response from either McCain or Palin thus far as Hurricane Gustav has severely impacted the first day of the RNC convention but once they do begin to be seen by the American public, I for one am confident that the good American people are going to make the best vote for our country, and the majority of those votes will not be for the Obama bin-Biden ticket. I look forward to the McCain/Palin duo taking the reigns for at least the next four years and the huge and long overdue dismantling of the ridiculous conservation “Green” lobbyists hold over the best interests of America and our vast natural resources hostage. I believe we will see a very bright future for the first time in a very long time and one that will immensely benefit both Americans and America.

   The fact that it all started with McCain’s choice of not only a woman for VP, but such a strong woman as Palin, will be hailed as both a historical landmark in American politics and a real sign of the brilliance of McCain, which will no doubt be talked about for generations to come.

 

    Actions speak louder than words. I learned this lesson early in my life and it has never failed me yet. If you want to learn about a person’s true character then you watch what they do, not what they say. This is a much better “test” of individuals and of the governments of nations. What has always managed to baffle me is that so few people ever seem to learn this incredibly effective lesson. School teachers, police officers, judges, college professors, prison wardens, psychiatrists, the young and the old, men and women, black and white, the well educated and the uneducated, rich and poor, have all shown a very real lack of understanding of such a simple concept.

   There are many examples but I will only use a few here to make my point. When Jeffrey Dahmer was about 22 years old (1981) he was arrested for exposing himself at a Wisconsin state fair but he only received a slap on the wrist. In 1986 he was again charged for masturbating in front of two boys. This time he actually served 10 months of a 12 month sentence. In 1988 he was again arrested for sexually fondling a young boy in Milwaukee, for which he served another 10 months, this time in a work release camp. He should have served a longer sentence but he convinced a judge that he needed therapy and so was released on 5 years probation.  

   Officials would later learn that it was shortly after this release that Dahmer would begin killing his victims in extremely brutal ways. In the early morning hours one May morning in 1991 a 14 year old victim would be found wandering the residential street where Dahmer lived. The boy was naked, bleeding from the rectum and appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcoholic beverages. When police questioned Jeffrey Dahmer, he told them the boy was his 19 year old lover who had become drunk and argumentative. Despite the boy’s apparent condition and over his pleas for help, the police officers released the boy back into Dahmer’s custody while ignoring the foul stench emanating from Dahmer’s home. The stench would later turn out to be the decomposing corpses in a back room of his residence. Dahmer would kill the boy shortly thereafter. The police officers would later be fired but after appealing their case they would be reinstated on the police force and even be named officers of the year by the police union.

   This is a pretty clear case of exactly what I am talking about. We can see a disturbed young man’s actions continuing to escalate in the severity of his crimes. From “simple” exposure which could easily be explained away as the act of an overly intoxicated young man with no prior criminal record, to openly masturbating in front of young boys, to sexually assaulting another young boy, to killing his victims, all between 1981 and his final arrest in 1991.

   Despite the evidence of his actions, both judges and the police officers involved obviously paid more attention to his words. He was the victim, and just needed therapy, certainly not incarceration. He counted on a homophobic response from the police officers and his plan worked better than he could have possibly hoped for. Then you have the extremely unprofessional actions of the police officers who were able to “talk” their way back into the police force despite their actions which so obviously supported the initial termination decision.

   Then we have all those “moderate” Muslim “civil rights” groups which continually bombard us with just how non-violent and misunderstood is their “religion of peace.” Yet where are these so called moderates when the Danish cartoon riots were taking place around the world? Where were they when Theo Van Gough, the Danish film maker and “artist” was killed for exercising his right to free speech? These same moderate Muslim civil rights groups that claim they are the persecuted ones even as they openly demand “special rights” not accorded any other religious or minority group, who openly support terrorist organizations and express their intentions of overthrowing the society that they have joined and their stated intention of imposing Sharia Law and Muslim supremacy over all Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

   Yet the thousands and thousands of violent acts committed around the world today are not committed by any significant numbers of Christians, Jews, Hindus, or Buddhists, but they certainly are committed by the followers of that religion of peace. Remember the images of tens of thousands of Muslims dancing and celebrating in Muslim communities around the world at the death and destruction wrought on 9/11? Anyone who attempts to so much as criticize the smallest aspect of the Islamic violence and the horrendous ways with which they treat non-Muslims always seems to bring a firestorm of violence or the threat of violence to those who dare speak out.

   Yet we see people in many Western cultures continue to listen to the words of these totally supremacist religious zealots, even as their 1400 year history is full of the violence which they initiate against the infidel populations unfortunate enough to live within striking distance. Again, I don’t believe that every self professed Muslim is a stone cold killer or even a supporter of Islamic terrorism, but they are not the true Muslims they claim to be as they fail to adhere to the Arabic ranting of their prophet and his god.  Anyone who has ever bothered to take the time to actually read what the Quran, the Hadith’s and the Sira demand of all true Muslims, and understand the Muslim concept of the Medina, or essentially the “new testament” of the Quran, which makes null and void any earlier teachings or similar statements such as those found in the “old testament” portion of the Quran, or Mecca period of Islam’s history should be able to add two plus two equals four. Barring that, the sheer numbers of Islamic violence perpetuated around the world today should put any doubts about the true nature of this so called “religion of peace” to rest.

   Again, deeds not words speak to the true character of people and governments. No one is perfect and we all make our mistakes but the way we arrived at those mistakes and perhaps most importantly, the way we deal with the aftermath of those mistakes will always show the true character of us as individuals and nations alike. Be that for the better or worse, the answer will almost always be clear to those with the eyes with which to see.

   Recently, the Uniontown Area School Board in Pennsylvania proposed equipping their school police with Tasers, a non-lethal device which fires two metal prongs or can be pressed directly against an offender, delivering a controlled electrical shock that incapacitates rather than kills. It should be mentioned that this same school board already refuses to allow their school police to carry any firearms and to date they are only equipped with nightstick-type impact weapons and pepper spray. The proposed guidelines for the use of the Tasers would only be for “outsiders” and would never be authorized for use on school students or staff members.

    At a contentious meeting with several groups and parents the director of safety and health tried arguing that the issuance of the Tasers would be a proactive step as opposed to a reactive measure, while also noting the increase in serious crime in the Uniontown area. One of the many vocal opponents from nearby New Salem implied that if the students saw school police officers with the Tasers that they may think it was alright to bring Tasers of their own to school! Ignoring the fact that even the cheapest “civilian” model of the Tasers cost about $300 dollars a pop, what world does this person live on if they believe that students would one, be able to go right out and shell out that kind of money for such a device and two, would ever think it would be ok to bring such a device to their school? They already have to abide by a fairly lengthy list of prohibited items which they are not permitted to bring to school.

   Perhaps the most shocking statement was made by a Uniontown parent who said, “I can’t see using violence to combat violence. It’s wrong. There’s got to be another way to conduct this. Kids’ lives, security guards lives are in danger.” Eventually the proposal to equip the school police with this non-lethal device was aborted and the meeting turned to looking at security training and the possible use of metal detectors in future sessions.

   Again, all we have to do is look at the past actions of kids in the numerous school shooting that have been taking place around our country since the mid-90’s and ask ourselves how on earth a well intentioned (not to mention incredibly brave or recklessly stupid) and unarmed person, school police or anyone else, would have ever been able to stop the focused killers such as those two killers at Columbine, Colorado? Even school police armed with Tasers would have been useless against two or more heavily armed homicidal killers such as the ones who ravaged the Columbine school. The concept that only “bad people” use violence is so far removed from reality as to defy any cognitive thought. Violence is the weapon of choice for the bad guys to be sure, but violence has also been a tool of necessity for the good guys to.

   Hitler wasn’t defeated with pleasant thoughts. World Wars I and II were not won by turning the other cheek and greeting the bad guys with hugs and salutations. They were defeated by the good guy’s courage, sacrifice and determination not to simply roll over for evil, period. Today with the Russian – Georgian conflict we see the Russians repeatedly paying lip service to peace and treaties, while their actions tell a vastly different story. If you were a Georgian which Russian activity would you be giving the most credence to? 

   For me the answer is very simple. Actions not words!

  I am sure you have noticed how our congress loves to point the finger of blame at one another, or better yet someone else, but how can our current woes be anyone else’s fault but theirs? They are the ones who pass bills, establish trade regulations and policies, and generally steer the great ship of America for better or worse. How do you think we got to the current state of affairs we now find ourselves in?

   A gallon of gas is costing $4 a gallon, millions of illegal and undocumented aliens moving in and out of our countries borders unchallenged, our children continuing to fall further and further behind school children of many other countries and school drop out rates are at a seldom mentioned crisis level. Thousands of tons of illicit drugs and other contraband continue entering our country along with many of those illegal immigrants. Major U.S. business corporations fleeing the U.S. like rats from a sinking ship and our governments insistence on issuing visa’s to foreign workers, allegedly to fill our nations own shortage of skilled (read more expensive) workers.

   The establishment of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agency which was supposed to bring connectivity and better focus to many other federal bureaucratic agencies but which has in fact just added to the utter chaos and bureaucratic malaise that all Americans have come to know and hate, even as our tax dollars continue supporting this madness. Our government still inspects a miniscule number of the containers shipped into our country while refusing to enforce our border security, even while ensuring that every single passenger (at least the ones who use public air transport) goes through the ridiculous security charade at every major and minor airport in the country.

   Our government continues secretive meetings with other countries on trade agreements (I wonder why they have to be secret?) while allowing an ever increasing number of frivolous law suits from illegal aliens suing American schools and other American institutions for their “English only” policies to those anti-American “civil rights” groups like the ACLU. You know the group that is quick to sue any bastion of American history and traditional moral values. Children used to pledge allegiance to their country, engage in brief group prayers and actually learn the three R’s that have always been the foundation of all education at the public schools level. Teachers used to actually be held accountable for their demonstrated teaching abilities and spent more time on teaching history than they now do teaching “revisionist” history which might have been found offensive to the odd person here or there. Our education system has been turned on it's head more times than I can remember but Congress keeps making the process sound so complicated, which it certainly is not. Unless you don't want to hold anyone accountable that is.

   But where is the ACLU when Muslim groups insist on “female” only times in public pools, gyms and other public (read our taxpaying dollars built and supported) to the exclusion of the vast majority. Where is the ACLU when Muslim’s hold Arabic prayer sessions in our public schools in class rooms with the drapes drawn and the American flag covered? How is it that groups like the ACLU not only survive but thrive in our country? I don’t blame the ACLU but our Congress. Regardless of whether you believe in a supreme deity or not, what was the harm in raising our children to at least understand that they may be held accountable for the actions of today in the here after? Look what has happened when they have no reason to believe in anything but those material possessions they can aquire and the way they treat everyone around them? It's not that they are bad kids but that through the wonders of our rapidly changing technologies they are able to have less and less real contact with other people while being exposed to depictions of violence never seen in human history at younger and younger ages. Remember that not to long ago there was a movement in this country condeming those Bugs Bunny, Road Runner and Yosemite Sam cartoons, but look what is now allowed through the medium of games and movies where every blood splatter and exploding head looks so very real through enhanced high definition.

   How do we account for the fact that there are at least 20 Muslim governed countries which forbid American non-Muslim religious leaders into their countries even as we continue to allow hundreds of their own Muslim religious leaders to travel into the United States, and despite the factual knowledge that a surprising number of these “religious” leaders have direct ties to numerous terrorist organizations.    And since I am on the subject of those “religion of peace” Muslims, how else do you explain the fact that our government is seriously considering paying our newest ally Moammar Gadhafi of Libya, for the Reagan era bombing of his country! He committed horrific atrocities which our government not only knows but can prove, but we will pay him to continue to be our “moderate” Muslim ally.

    How else can you explain that our Congress continues to pump billions and trillions of our tax dollars to foreign countries, while we maintain tens of thousands of our military forces in more "allied" countries where we pay those countries for the privilege of helping to defend their anti-American governments; even as Congress continues to bicker and argue about the 1.5 trillion dollars desperately needed to repair and replace our aging roads and bridges?  

   There is only one group consisting primarily of only a few hundred Americans that are directly responsible for the current state of our nations affairs; the United States Congress. Yet when it comes time for taking responsibility for any of these things they continue to point the finger of blame at anyone or anything but themselves. Like the old saying goes; Only in America!

   Ever wondered about all those “experts” trotted out by every main stream media television station and many others? Ever questioned what and who determines who and what an “expert” is or isn’t? Ever wondered at the explosion of all these so called experts in any subject you care to name? I have for years even, as I have noticed the apparent explosion of all these experts of late.  Let’s look at a few examples of what I mean shall we?

   The recent presidential race that narrowed the field down to the presumptive RNC and DNC nominee’s of John McCain and Barak Obama. After each televised debate you would then see this army of the ordained “experts” come out of the woodwork to tell us all just what the candidates may or may not have meant by what they may or may not have said. When did we need people to make up our minds for us? If you watched the debates and you heard the candidate’s words and saw their body language, then why do we need someone to tell us what we saw and think? Shouldn’t we have to develop our own knowledge and opinions for ourselves and isn’t that the fun of the journey? Not that we are apparently going to actually witness these two candidates ever engage in an actual debate during a head-to-head debate.

   What about where you work? Diversity training, “self empowerment” gurus, and motivational experts. Joel Osteen, Stephen Covey, and many others are cashing in on the billions of dollars being spent every year by business corporations, government entities and individuals alike. These people have a gift, a gift of charisma no doubt about it, but exactly what makes them “experts” worth millions of dollars. Is it their knowledge and “expertise” or is it an abundance of charisma coupled with an innate intelligence? As so called experts into the human psyche, would they do as well in China or Saudi Arabia? Or would the expertise required to be successful in one of those countries require a different level of “expertise”?        

   Even more to the point is exactly what makes these people true “experts” in what ever subject they are considered experts in? Is there a university that awards diploma’s for being “expert” in what ever you want to fill in the blank subject for. And if there is such a school does my completing the required coursework and classroom assignments actually mean I now have the maturity, experience, intelligence, and just plain old fashioned common sense and real world experience to justify this “expert” status? Who gets to determine who is or is not an expert? The university? The MSM? You or me? Them?

   In law enforcement a “rookie” police officer or agent would have had to have “earned” the ability to be considered an “expert” in identifying persons to be under the influence of drugs or alcoholic beverages. The number and specific requirements varies from state to state and often even within the same state. So an “expert” in one county wouldn’t be considered “expert” enough to testify in another. How can that be? Shouldn’t a person identified as an “expert” truly be an “expert” in a specific field anywhere in the country? Does this mean that there are actually different levels of “experts?” For example, a Beginner Expert, an Intermediate Expert and an Advanced Expert.

   If experts are so knowledgeable then how do we explain the ease with which attorneys are generally able to find those so called experts (pick your subject) who appear on both sides of a criminal or civil courtroom case? How can two such “experts” conduct a carefully detailed and similar “evaluation” of the same person’s mental capacity and then both manage to come to diametrically opposed conclusions?

   If you have spent 20 years of your working life in a specific industry or trade and then your new boss is fresh out of some college or university with his still crisp diploma, but not one days experience of “on the job experience” who is the expert then? The employee with 20 years experience or the individual with the diploma who is the experienced employee’s boss?

   I started working with my father’s ceramic tile installation business when I was 16 and worked in that capacity until I was 21 years old. Long enough to have earned the “journeyman” title which many would claim to be an “expert” designation in the tile installation field, but I never doubted for a moment that I never achieved the craftsmanship, knowledge and experience of my father. He would always be the “master craftsman” whereas I would never be as good. Yet if I had struck out on my own we would have both been deemed “journeymen” in the same specialized field and no one the wiser. No one except me of course.

   What concerns me today is that the more certifications and college degrees that we see being required in more and more fields hasn’t seemed on the whole, to have necessarily made anything better. Not for the expensive cost of a college degree and many of the certifications of today. Instead, despite the often prohibitive cost of such modern “requirements” we seem to be losing knowledge that was once passed from generation to generation with inherent demands that must be met to continue in those fields, and not simply the ability to be able to fork over tens of thousands of dollars and several years of ones life to achieve that degree, without ever having actually having to spend a single day of doing in that field.

   Our country is rapidly losing many of those master craftsmanship skills like my father possessed. More and more of our skilled construction trades are being done by people who wouldn’t have even been allowed to pick up a trowel or a hammer when I was apprenticing under my father. The plus side was a young man or woman could make a very decent wage very quickly along with the satisfaction of having made a significant improvement for the paying customer that would last for many years into the future. Another plus was it didn’t require a college degree or even a high school diploma.

   With our atrocious high school drop out rates of today and the military’s requirements for at least a GED and the ability to score certain minimum scores to be granted admission, just where will these people go for a living? McDonalds? Wal-Mart? My concern is that we are actually ensuring that we will have a nation of millions and millions of people with no means of ever breaking out of their low-income hand-to-mouth existence. How can they ever afford to attend colleges that easily cost $50,000 dollars and more for a four year degree?

   Which brings me to my last point; if we are going to require a minimum of a four year college degree for even entry level acceptance into more and more job markets, then how can we allow the tremendous increase in the cost of a sub-standard college degree? Especially for what the colleges and universities of today are actually teaching, which doesn’t seem to be worth even a fraction of their cost? 

   Whatever your opinion on this I only ask that you take this little challenge. Simply answer with a “yes” or “no” to the questions below.

 

1. Do you believe that your knowledge and experience would genuinely be deserving of an “expert” rating?
2. Would your coworkers agree with your self evaluation?
3. Would your subordinates agree?
4. Would your bosses agree?
5. Would your spouse or significant other agree with your answer?
6. What would you consider the primary prerequisites for anyone to be considered an "expert" in your current career field?
7. Do you believe you are currently being paid a “fair” wage for your current level of experience and knowledge, and the complexity required of your job?
8. Does your current job require a minimum level of college or specialized certifications?
9. Finally, do you believe your boss is an expert?

    Obviously this is dependant on your honesty in answering the above listed questions but then you are the only one to know the proper answers. Then again are you an “expert” because you think so or because others thinks so? Does it really matter? I think if you believe you’re an expert then you are as likely to be correct as any other system out there today. So, I am interested -are you an expert?

  "Call for bullet-proof bras for police: reports"

   The real highlight of this story is what it doesn't say. Why do police in the most heavily regulated "gun control" nation in the "free" Western hemisphere, which prohibits its citizens from owning any and all hand guns and which stringently regulates shotguns (mostly single shot or over-under two shot varieties and the maximum load is birdshot) and I believe the rare single shot rifles, even need bulletproof vests (let alone bras) for it's law enforcement officers? Even the public carrying of "pocket knives" commonly seen in the U.S. of A., is prohibited under British law. Not even members of the British Olympic Rifle Team are permitted to own hand guns.  

   For more than 150 years even Britain’s police were not generally allowed to carry guns. They conducted their patrols armed only with a nightstick. With the huge immigrant influx which began in the 90's and continues even to this day, more and more "regular" police now carry semi-automatic handguns while their ARV's (Armored Roving Vehicles) are able to quickly respond and transport fully automatic machine guns wherever needed.

   Near the end of the last century, Canadian Justice Minister Allan Rock said during his push for new national gun control laws being proposed that "there is no reason to confiscate legally owned firearms." Within one year of the minister's assurances more than 550,000 legally registered handguns were confiscated. Just like merry old England. The only purpose of registration is to tell the government where the guns are.

   I spent 14 months in what was then West Germany, and they do allow handguns, though with very tight registration requirements (you must be a registered member of a shootzenhausen club, of which I was a member with my Sig Sauer P220 .45 cal), and of course they are part of the land locked western Europe, so smuggling all kinds of weapons into and through the country was fairly easy. But Great Britain is just a series of large islands in the Atlantic. 
   The bottom line is this. Picture your family the target of a violent home invasion late one night. Now would you rather pray that the police get there in time to save you and your family, or take your chances at defending yourselves with guns that you legally own and possess? I think the vast majority of people on the left and the right would not have much problem in coming to the same mutual agreement on this situation.
   There is an old joke and it goes something like this. A man hears noises coming from the shed in his back yard. He looks out his window and sees several individuals burglarizing his property. The man calls the police operator and explains his situation to which the operator explains that all current police units are currently engaged in other calls and that an officer will be dispatched just as soon as one is free. The man hangs up and thinks about the dispatchers words for a few moments and then calls the police operator once again. This time he tells the operator that there is no hurry as he has shot and killed all the criminals. Within minutes nearly a dozen police cars are parked all around his home and the burglars are captured. After a few minutes more a patrol sergeant contacts the homeowner and says, "I thought you said you had shot and killed all the suspects?" The homeowner responded, "I thought you were all to busy to respond right away?" 
   If there was ever any real doubt about gun control laws that prevented law abiding American citizens from purchasing and owning guns, there should have been no doubt after the last Los Angeles riots. It should be remembered that California had just passed a 10 day "cool off" period before anyone could pick up any new firearm. It should also be noted what the police did while some of the worst violence (anyone remember Reginald Denny?) was broadcast live to televisions around the world. The police set up a "cordon" a few miles from the violence and stood by and did nothing! I remember seeing some of the officers being visibly upset and at least one female officer was actually crying in her frustration! These images were also captured by the unblinking eye of the news video cameras.

   The frustration and shame these officers felt while being ordered to stand by and do NOTHING should have been such a stigma for America that we would ensure such a despicable act would never again be permitted. Instead, people seemed to merely shrug and say "What do you expect from crazy California." Of course such an event would never happen where THEY LIVE!

   If that single incident didn’t send a wake up call to all Americans then it would seem that nothing will. Nor do I blame the many brave men and women of the LAPD, but rather the spineless leadership that they were then under. The reality has always been that well over 90% of all police arrests of violent criminals are well after these thugs have already raped, beaten, crippled, or killed their victims. Again, it’s not the police officers fault as it would appear that criminals seldom tend to commit crimes where they know the police to be. Criminals can be clever that way.

   Either way as a test case in gun control, Britain proves it to be a total failure. The result is exactly the one predicted by the National Rifle Association: "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.”

  

   Howard Dean says it again! During a recent speech he points out that in his opinion the Republican Party is essentially the party of white (read racists) evangelical centrists (read sexist racists of dubious lineage). This isn’t the first time he has brought this up during his speeches but it is another clear indication of what I have certainly commented on before. That in our topsy-turvy black is white, and up is down world, if you are white, at least according to many of those elitist DNC political leaders today, you are by definition a racist-sexist-supremacist and therefore incapable of any open discussion of race, sex, or supremacy issues facing our country today.

   If you don’t vote for Barrack Hussein Obama it is as obvious as the nose on your face that you are a racist. If you are a card-carrying member of the Republican Party you must be a racist. If you are a registered Independent but vote for anyone but Obama, then it follows that you must be a closet Republican racist, and simply to stupid to understand which party you should be claiming.

   Again, I want to make it very clear that I believe people are people, regardless of the color of their skin or the sex they were born into. People generally work hard to provide the basics of shelter, food, and heat, find a loving mate, raise their family and hopefully live a full and productive life. During the course of my lifetime thus far I have assisted in dozens and dozens of life saving situations and never once did I ever give a moments thought to the sex or color of the person whose life I was trying to save. I have also had my life saved by the prompt, and in at least two of those instances, courageous actions of others, nor did I worry about what sex or color my savior would be.   

   I believe that most people, both young and old, have encountered a sudden serious emergency where they have been faced with a situation in which their prompt action, or lack of action, would have a direct impact on the life of another person. And many of us have been in situations where we owe our lives to the prompt actions of others. I believe that is the norm, not the exception of people every where. I also believe that these are not the people who tend to be in politics. Some may have started out like that. They may even have really believed they could make positive changes for their fellow citizens but the temptations of today’s politicians, the fame, the power, the money; coupled with a culture of greed, corruption and a “you scratch my back and I will scratch yours,” stifles those initial ambitions if ever they existed to begin with.

   Still, I can’t say it enough. American’s have got to be willing to band together and use their voice along with their vote to hold our politicians accountable and help put our country back on a path of both security and prosperity for all our nations’ peoples. Heck you might even say liberty and justice for all!

   “Our government is nothing but a bunch of self-serving crooks, but what can you do?” These words were spoken by a co-worker to me during a break at work just the day before yesterday and I think it is a pretty common sentiment among most American’s today. I reminded him that our government is designed to serve “We the People,” but he simply shrugged as if to say, “What of it? There’s nothing we can do.” It is this lethargic response that is ensuring the myth that the average Joe or Jane Citizen can never truly create any really positive change in our government, let alone our lives. Of course, it is this very belief which our power-mongering career politicians rely on, thus continuing the cycle. This is certainly one of the more negative truisms of all humanity.

   Most people are productive, honest and gentle creatures; more interested in starting and raising families, providing the basic needs for themselves and those families, developing careers, etc., but there are always those who care only about their own wants and who have learned that most people won’t fight back when threatened. They then use violence and fear to enforce their will onto others, without any concern for those whom they “rule.”

   Not that those same people can’t be capable of committing extreme violence themselves under the right circumstances. Mob mentality, if made to feel they have no other choice, desperation, protecting loved ones, being under the influence of drugs or alcohol; but the vast majority of humans anywhere would much rather live and let live than engage in a constant battle to the death. Our forefathers understood that there came a time when enough was enough and good people of conviction had to stand up for themselves.

   The only people who truly believe the old adage of “the pen is mightier than the sword,” have in the main, never had to stand up and fight for a belief. For any one example anyone can name where the saying is possibly true, and I don’t know of any, there will easily be thousands and thousands of cases where violence destroyed those only wielding pens.

    The concept behind that statement about the pen wielder is really about the Ideals of the need for humans to express themselves and live their lives as free men and women, but those same people must be willing to fight, and if necessary die, for those ideals and beliefs. Far too many people, and particularly those peoples of the Western nations, are quick to speak of freedom, but tend to run at the first taste of resistance from others. Americans have certainly been well neutered over the past few decades through elitist ideals of the particularly rich and pampered, and the mentally insane.

   How else do you explain the current state of affairs we see all too evident in our world today? The richest, most powerful nation the world has ever seen, our very own U.S. of A., is now the most indebted nation in the history of the world. We refuse to utilize our own natural abundance of resources, even as we continue a suicidal policy of sending billions and billions of our dollars to countries who wish us nothing but the worst.

  Our own roads, bridges, dams, sewers, and critical infrastructure is falling into an ever more degraded state of disrepair and neglect, and although we wont spend but a tiny fraction of our currency on that, we continue giving billions and trillions of dollars to others outside our borders! Our political system, in my opinion anyway, broke down years ago. People have become fanatically polarized along party lines of a long defunct system, while refusing to acknowledge facts staring them right in the eyes.

   If you don’t vote for Obama, and you’re white, it’s because you are a racist. If you don’t vote for Obama and you are black, then you are an uncle tom. If you don’t vote for Hillary and you are a male, then you are a sexist. If you don’t vote for McCain you are un-American. Law suits have become increasingly frivolous and judges are legislating from the bench. The main stream media is now owned by hostile and foreign entities. We have no control of our borders and if you question our current immigration policies were back to being called racists. We now have at least 70 major U.S. cities that refuse to follow a federal law, which means their leaders are felons yet no one is arrested and they continue to receive their millions in federal monetary handouts.

   Our law enforcement agencies are only allowed to fight crime that isn’t against people of color, and without the use of violence. Powerful police unions prevent these same agencies from responding in anything like a prompt fashion to specific criminal trends, without long expensive negotiations and salary renegotiations. You want to take some of your beat cops out of their patrol vehicles and put them on foot patrol? The union screams that’s not in their contracts and will require additional pay.

   Then the “civil liberties” groups such as the ACLU will sue the officers, the police department, the city, and any other entity they believe they can drag into the nearest courtroom on any pretext. The favorite complaint of all these groups in a nut shell is racism. It makes no difference to them what color of the officer involved, any more than they care that well over 90% of all crimes where the victim is a person of color, is committed by people of color. To put not to fine a point on this, the vast majority of violent felonious crimes committed in our country are committed by people of color. The vast majority of victims are also people of color. Any sane rational person would look at the facts and understand why it is people of color that are the vast majority of our criminally institutionalized. Nor am I saying that whites are any better or worse than any other persons of color, I am simply stating what organizations that track these sorts of trends clearly, factually prove.

   We hear of illegal aliens committing extreme violence against our citizens and being given ridiculously lenient treatment, and who, once released go right out and commit even more violent crimes against other innocents. Our nation has the second highest business tax in the world and then both our politicians, who set these ridiculous taxes on the profits of businesses, along with the average American citizen complain about the huge “outsourcing” of American jobs. We reelect politicians such as the Ted Kennedy’s and the Marion Berry’s despite their despicable past actions, even when they lead to imprisonment for criminal offenses. Yet all we can say is, “What can you do?”

     It was only a matter of time before the pressure cooker of Russia – Georgia tensions finally blew up. We have been repeatedly told by our politicians that the cold war with Russia has been over since the fall of the Berlin wall. Our own President Bush told the world that he had looked into the eyes of then Russian President Putin, seen into his soul, and found him to be an essentially good and honorable man. This despite the increasing hostility and continued aggression of our new world “ally,” while our elitist, wimpy liberal State Department officials have consistently missed opportunity after opportunity to check that growing Russian menace.

   Georgia, a former part of the USSR, took the first opportunity to declare its national sovereignty from nearly two hundred years of Russian oppression and has been desperately trying to align itself with the “good guys” of NATO and the United States. Only a few months ago the North Atlantic Treaty Organization rejected Georgia’s bid for membership. The primary reason being that they would have been obligated to provide full military assistance in the event it was attacked by Russia. Russia has been fomenting a “separatist” movement in the Georgian province of Southern Ossetia, among other provinces of Georgia in an obvious ploy of regaining Georgia one piece at a time since the early 1990’s when they deployed elements of the Russian army as a “peacekeeping force” which has remained ever since.

   Russia has also been very concerned about Georgia, along with Albania, Croatia, Macedonia and Ukraine, all former members of the USSR, and all who have shown a keen interest in joining NATO as soon as possible may, in the words of one Russian diplomat, “We are particularly concerned by the possibility of our immediate neighbors becoming a bridgehead for the deployment of  strategic elements of a military machine,” and then he added that Moscow expects all neighboring states to follow a responsible approach toward such matters. The Russians are particularly concerned about the idea of the U.S. placing it’s highly touted “missile defense system” inside one of the former USSR states. Georgia also has some valuable natural resources such as oil which the Russians would no doubt like to regain control of.

   After years of terror suffered by the Georgian people, and more recently months of missile attacks, kidnappings and murders, the Georgian government has apparently decided enough is enough and has taken a huge gamble to stand up to its enormous and aggressive northern neighbor. Georgia is a country with a very small, but well equipped and trained army, that has been supporting the U.S. war in Iraq with about 2000 soldiers. I strongly suspect that the Georgian government is counting on world pressure to keep the Russian army at bay. If that is the case, I fear they are doomed already.

   The Georgian government has been between the proverbial rock and a hard place for quite a while and I believe this perhaps final act, was a decision to pick the time and place to make a courageous stand while they were still capable. Their response is no different than you would expect from any other nation with any backbone who, when faced with the choice of watching their sovereignty disappear one province, county or state at a time, realizes that it must either acquiesce to the hostile intentions of its aggressive neighbor or fight for its very survival. Oppression or freedom is the only two choices they have.

   Imagine one of our neighboring countries deciding to inject a massive influx of spies and covert special forces into one of our states, committing terrible atrocities and terroristic acts against the citizens of that state, as well as the surrounding states, and then declaring that the majority population of the targeted state was actually waging a “secessionist movement” in its demands to become part of that neighboring and hostile nation. That would be Georgia’s situation in a nutshell. They either roll over and play dead, or fight to maintain they’re national sovereignty while hoping that freedom loving nations will come to their aid.

   Naturally our American Main Stream Media (MSM) has shown a propensity to simply turn a blind eye to the plight of Georgia by giving it very minimal coverage, even as it heavily slants what coverage it does provide to the American viewers. The same MSM which essentially conducted an absolute “black out” of any coverage of the John Edwards affair with a former female staffer which started in 2006, is now flooding the airways with coverage of this very same scandal now that John Edwards has confessed to the story first reported by the National Enquirer last October. It’s a pretty damning testimony of the failure of our MSM when the National Enquirer is going out and actually breaking news worthy stories which once reported, are then ignored by an incredibly biased MSM. Does anyone really doubt that had the subject been Mitt Romney or Mike Hukcabee, both Republican counterparts of Edwards, the story would have received weeks, if not months of coverage ad nauseum? However because it was a former Democratic presidential candidate the MSM determined to conduct its biased “black out” on the entire story.

   It should also be mentioned that another “great ally” of the American people, Saudi Arabia, has quietly been buying major controlling interests in our nations largest MSM corporations. One of those Saudi Royals once bragged during the 2005 French Muslim riots that after watching an American MSM stations coverage which kept factually referring to the “Muslim rioters,” he called the MSM CEO to complain, and within twenty minutes witnessed the use of the term “Muslim” dropped from all further reporting.  It must also be remembered that 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudi born nationals and the most virulent form of Muslim fundamentalist teaching is directly exported throughout the world by those great American ally’s, the Saudi Arabian government.   

   Now that John Edwards has confessed that he is a narcissistic liar, it seems to be the ONLY newsworthy story today. The same day as the Russia – Georgia situation erupts into open military war; and how does the MSM respond? With a brief mention which does no justice to the situation but intentionally obscures the blatant aggression of that other good old ally of America, Russia. The MSM is to busy trying to put some positive spin on the Edwards story with lots of references to the numerous sex scandals involving that even bigger narcissistic liar Bill Clinton. After all they are terrified that this may have negative consequences for that MSM “messiah” Barrack Hussein Obama at the upcoming DNC convention later this month.

   Meanwhile, thousands (of mostly defenseless civilians) will likely die within the next few days or so, and the MSM will simply impose the now standard tactic of enforcing yet another “black out” with the hope that by not giving the Russian – Georgian war very much attention, Americans will simply figure it must not be that important. The sad truth is that the MSM tactic will probably work. Still, who would have ever thought that the National Enquirer would prove to be one of our better sources of “journalism” in the country today? For whom does the bell toll? It just may be tolling for the death of the American MSM. May they rest in peace?
